From cell phones to laptops to MP3's, we're a wired and digital generation. We use cell phones to make plans with friends, cameras to document our adventures, and computers for everything imaginable. This technology, though reducing resources in many respects, = some of the least sustainable aspects of our lifestyle. The demand for electronics has created a heavy stress on the globe as new raw materials like hazardous heavy metals are mined, the production of products is outsourced to foreign countries with non enforced labor laws, and e-waste builds up globally as we continue to throw out outdated and broken products. It is up to us, the teens of today, to figure out how to support and encourage green technology that leave the least impactful footprint on our planet.
